How to find us
Coole Hall Farm is quite easy to find. We're around 4 miles south of Nantwich in Cheshire, and the roads are relatively quiet.

Satnav - beware of satellite navigation errors in rural areas! The postcodes here cover wider areas than in cities, so satnav can lead you astray. Our postcode is CW3 0JD, but you may find the postcode CW5 8AU more effective - this relates to properties at the end of our drive on Coole Lane. If you can use latitude / longitude entries, the coordinates for Coole Hall Farm are Lat: 53.00 Long: -2.51 (West).
From the North
First, get to Nantwich, then head the short distance south to Coole Hall Farm.
Getting to Nantwich
From the M6 - leave the motorway at J 16, following signs for Crewe and Nantwich (heading in a westerly direction). Stay on the A500 all the way to Nantwich (about 7 miles). The road is mostly dual carriageway.
Getting on the right road from Nantwich
Leave the A500 at the end of the dual carriageway, taking the 2nd exit from the roundabout. Follow signs for Nantwich centre. You will come to a set of traffic lights at a T-junction - turn left here, following signs for Whitchurch (A530). Follow the ring road for a mile or so, still following signs for Whitchurch. Finally, take a left turn to Whitchurch, signposted A530.
From Nantwich

(click to enlarge)Once on the A530, you will pass a large lake to the right (this usually has swans and ducks on it, and makes a nice place to stop). About a half a mile after the lake, turn left into Coole Lane - there's a mysterious sign pointing to the 'Secret Bunker' pointing down Coole Lane, which means it's hard to miss! Click on the pictures to see what the junction looks like.
Stay on Coole Lane for 3 miles after the turning - ignore further signs for the 'Secret Bunker' and just stay on Coole Lane.
After a straight stretch, you'll come to a humped bridge over the canal - this is quite easy to spot, as the bridge rises up quite sharply, and there is a rather ominous warning sign of 'Weak Bridge'! The driveway to Coole Hall Farm is on the left, just before the bridge - it's signposted and quite easy to spot. The drive is fairly long, but follow it down and you'll come to the farmhouse. The road forks after you go through the trees at the bottom of the dip - take the left-hand fork and drive up to the farmhouse. Guest parking is to the left hand side at the front of the house. Come to the front door and start to relax!
From the South
First, get to Audlem or Whitchurch (Shrops.) - directions below:
Getting to Audlem
Using the M6 motorway, leave the motorway at J 15 and follow signs for Whitchurch and Market Drayton - it's quite a complex junction, but aim to get onto the A5182, ultimately heading west. Take the following roads to get to Audlem:
- A5182
- A53 (=> Market Drayton)
- A51 (=> Nantwich)
- A525 (=> Whitchurch)
From Audlem

Stay on Coole Lane for almost exactly 2 miles, until you reach the humped canal bridge - it's quite easy to spot, as the bridge rises up quite sharply, and there is a rather ominous warning sign of 'Weak Bridge'! The turn into the driveway is just the other side of the bridge on the right-hand side. The driveway is signposted.

Getting to Whitchurch
Either of the A49 via Shrewsbury or the A483 / A495 past Oswestry will get you to Whitchurch.
From Whitchurch
(click to enlarge)Follow the ring road around the south of Whitchurch, and get onto the A525, following signs for Audlem and Newcastle-under-Lyme. Once you've passed through the village of Burleydam, look out for the left turn into Coole Lane - this is about 6 miles after leaving the Whitchurch ring road. Click on the picture to see the signs you need to look out for.
