Market Drayton is about 10 miles from Coole Hall Farm. Some say it is the most central town England - but Market Drayton's main claim to fame is as the home of gingerbread! From the 18th century, gingerbread biscuits and men (fortified by the addition of rum to the recipe) have been a staple of the town's bakers. Locals are said to add to the enjoyment by dunking their gingerbread in port! - maybe one for later in the day...!
